REACHOUT PROGRAM FOR SOCIAL INVESTMENTS

Entrepreneurship is the backbone of any society. Lack of easy access to capital discourages it. This project aims at building a network of social investors who will take care of this easy access to funds.

Investments made into large profit making businesses often end up into the pockets of the crony capitalists. They mark the stocks at a rate that is favorable to them. There has been numerous occasions where people who have bought shares in a promising business end up losing the money. People have made money by investing in stocks but in much larger sense, its multi-billion dollar gamble. The more money you have, more time you can hold on to the stock or hoard it. It's a form of lending money without a fixed rate of interest and often given out knowing the surgery in demand in prior.

This has helped crony capitalists raise huge amount of money from the public and helped them grow their business by taking out healthy competition from the market. It has also crushed the small businesses and more importantly has killed the motivation and will power behind that genuine effort to setup a business. What could have flourished for next 100 years and would have become a source of employment got crushed under the weight of crony capitalism.

Reach-out Platform for Social Investments is a web portal designed and developed to put out stories of entrepreneurs with ideas, innovations and 'badly want to do business' kind of people, so that they get to connected with people who once wanted to be the hero of THAT story but could not do it due to various reasons and something inside them just wants to throw that extra money that they have, to just wait and watch if the idea works out and if it does, they would open up a beer bottle that evening and feel like Warren Buffett of the poor.

The returns of the social investments take a bit of time and that why we would travel that extra mile hunt for social investors and make sure the idea to investor ratio is decent enough. Also we would want to pledge Rs.10cr as a corpus, to be able match with the investments once in awhile when the market is a bit dull. RPSI project will collaborate with ISE project and YUVA Labs whenever necessary.
