A physcial wound can been seen unlike the one thats deep inside!

Childhood is that period of one’s life which is filled with happiness and joy. A child is always playful and does things without any fear. Most of them are fortunate enough have their grandparents and parents look after them. They also get access to good education. But there are a few unfortunate ones. Their childhood is a SCAR.

Their childhood is spent in working for their bread and butter. Some end up into prostitution, drugs and various other illegal activities to earn their living. Worst case, they end up in jail. Childhood which could have been the most beautiful part of their life becomes their nightmare. This period of their life leaves a scar that never gets healed. We often argue why a whole set of people should suffer due to a handful of bastards. We fail to look deeper, these bastards get this audacity because they don't fear anything, they lost that fear long back when they were young.

As responsible people of the society we must hand hold these unfortunate children and we must make sure that a healthy environment is created where they can play, learn and grow together.

The Scar Project is to create large spaces in every possible place where such children can be accommodated, nurtured and made responsible, so that they can take up anything and create a significant impact to the society which helped them to become so.

The cost of infrastructure to create such spaces will be barred by donors and philanthropists, but rest would self sustainable. Their skills would earn them their living.

According to UNICEF there are about 30lakhs orphaned children in India which is 4% of the children in India. Out this roughly 5lakhs of them have found a place. Most of them are in the cities and hence it's wise enough to move them to a much isolated place, close to nature, where even the land costs are less.

One of the pilot projects of THE SCAR is coming up in Dakshina Kannada region in a span of 2 years.
